Pediatric Restorative Dentistry
Let Us Help Fix It
If your child needs restorative treatment in the form of a filling or crown, our doctor and his team will create a custom treatment plan for your child and review all options with you before treatment begins. We believe in a conservative approach to children’s dentistry and helping to focus on treatment choices with the best long-term success for you and your child.
Pediatric Sealants
Sealants help prevent decay by protecting the surface of the teeth, especially the back teeth where brushing can be more difficult for children.
Silver Diamine Fluoride
Silver Diamine Fluoride, or SDF, is an FDA-approved antibiotic liquid that, when applied topically, can stop decay from progressing.
Pediatric Crowns (Caps)
We offer both White Porcelain Zirconium Crown and Metal Stainless Steel Crowns (Silver Caps) for baby teeth. The Stainless Steel Crowns are shiny metal crowns that have been around for generations and are a tried and true way to help restore baby teeth with larger cavities. If a more esthetic route is what you are looking for, our office specializes in restoring both front teeth and back teeth with All White Porcelain Crowns.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Even though baby teeth are only around for a part of a lifetime, it’s still important to keep them healthy because they hold the space for your child’s adult teeth. We only use white tooth-colored fillings when placing fillings in teeth.
Nerve Treatments on Baby Teeth
Nerve/Pulp Treatments such as Pulpotomies or Pulpectomies can be very helpful for baby teeth with very large cavities. Saving a baby tooth instead of extracting it can help prevent issues with permanent tooth position, shifting of teeth, losing space for the permanent tooth, and chewing.
Restorative Dentistry
If your child needs restorative treatment in the form of a filling to a crown to new minimally invasive techniques, our doctor and his team will create a custom treatment plan for your child and review all options with you before treatment begins.
Tooth Removal
Kids can get really sick when their teeth become infected. Having a dead, infected, or necrotic tooth can become a serious condition that requires attention from a dentist. We are here to help get the tooth extracted safely with ways to reduce the anxiety of the patient and parent during this stressful time.
